EMA  - Serving Aging Persons   

EMA, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation organized in 1974.   In May, 1999, Episcopal Ministries to the Aging, Inc. formally adopted “EMA” as both its trade name and logo.  EMA’s mission is to serve aging persons.  This mission is accomplished through EMA’s involvement with retirement communities (“CCRC”), assisted living, skilled nursing care, adult day care and research and education through outpatient medical services. 

In addition to EMA Management, Inc., EMA, Inc. has 5 subsidiary corporations:

Fairhaven - an accredited, continuing care retirement community which consists of apartments and cottages, assisted living units, a nursing care center, and a wellness center.

Copper Ridge - a JCAHO-accredited residential and outpatient facility dedicated exclusively to the care of persons with memory-impairing disorders, including Alzheimer's disease. Contains comprehensive nursing care beds, assisted living units, and an outpatient Assessment Clinic.

Buckingham's Choice - a continuing care retirement community offering independent living apartments and cottages, assisted living apartments, and comprehensive nursing care beds with spacious residences and spectacular views of the Sugarloaf and Catoctin mountains.

William Hill Manor - a continuing care retirement community offering independent living apartments and cottages, assisted living apartments, and comprehensive nursing care beds with spacious residences.

The Copper Ridge Institute - devoted to enhancing the care of aging persons worldwide through research and education. Affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the Institute provides educational courses, seminars, and individualized training programs to professionals and Dementia Care Skills Training to family caregivers.

Episcopal Diocese of Maryland - providing facilities management to the administrative complex and Cathedral in Baltimore.

EMA Health Services-arranges for the provision of medical care for the residents of Fairhaven and Copper Ridge and coordinates the services offered at the Amulatory Care Center at Buckingham's Choice with Frederick Memorial Hospital

EMA Pharmacy-Provides pharmacy services to residents of EMA communities, EMA employees and other organizations.
